Walking Is Acheiving

Today is the day you have been waiting on. The day that you said you would finally get up and do some exercises. You still feel really bad from all the weight you had put on for the last 9 or 10 so you say you would do it tomorrow. Each day that passes, the day you could have done some exercises, you still put it off day after day after day. This was me, always saying “I’m going to do it tomorrow” but tomorrow always seems to never come.
What I did was try to figure out what I could do to lose weight where afterwards I don’t have to worry about going under the knife. So the first thing I did was joined a gym. I did this because I felt that with everyone there trying to get in shape; I would be motivated to work out. Started going to the gym, and when I got there I felt intimidated from all the people who had been going and already have their bodies where they want it to be. I did not feel comfortable because of the way everyone else looked. Right then I knew it wasn’t for me.
What am I going to do? It’s hard to do a diet, and its tougher going to the gym. What I did was started walking. Started walking without thought. When you think about walking, the time , the distance, you began to be intimidated. But I want you to do it without thinking about it. This is to help anyone who is a little over weight to get moving if you want to see results.
My reasons for not walking were always foot and back pain. This was all because of the weight I had carried for so many years. So how did I get up and start walking? We’ll all I can say is it wasn’t easy but it had to be done.
I began picturing myself thin, getting in clothes that I had never been able to wear before.
I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. I knew I had to do something. Watching the news I saw “Chalie Boy’ a rapper from Austin talking about losing weight. When they showed his before and after photos, I was surprised. All because he got up and started doing something about his weight. Now I began to do something about my weight.
It’s 5 am and I began walking on my street. It was tough but I did it to at least get started. My back pain was so bad that I had to immediately stop after 10 min. I was very sweaty and too exhausted to keep going. I was upset at myself because all I can ask was,” How did I let myself get this big?” My weight was 258 lbs when I started, now I’m down to 219 lbs. I now walk 3-6 miles a day. My blood pressure has gone down tremendously. And remember that foot and back pain I hated so much at the beginning? Well I haven’t had that feeling in so long I forgot what it felt like. I really enjoy walking and exercising so much that I do it now without thought. I am grateful for my new body and my new leash on life.
I still have a little ways to go to get to my goal of 200 lbs. I can do it and I know it’s possible because of what I have lost so far. I have to still change my diet, but I don’t eat the way I use too. I eat in portions and moderation. This helps with strengthening my metabolism and keeps me burning fat.

I want to encourage anyone that is struggling with weight issues to start walking. Walking is an exercise that can be very beneficial in keeping you healthy and at a proportion body weight. So people of the world, walk now, and thank me later.
